Tweets about "#jnode"
Hi, I want to join in this project.
Can any one tell me how?
Visit the IRC channel, introduce yourself and say what you are interested in doing. (It is a good idea to pick a time when the European folks are active on IRC ... check the IRC logs ...)
If you are going to do serious JNode development work you will need a machine with plenty of memory. I'd recommend at least 2Gb, and more is better. Most of us use some flavour of Linux (not Windows) as our development platform.
The normal procedure is that new JNode developers start out by submitting contributions as patches against the Subversion tree. If / when you establish a track record for producing high quality code, you will then be granted SVN commit rights, etc as required.
I recommend that you don't put your email address in postings on this website. Instead, do this:
Now people will be able to send messages (delivered to your registered email address) to you without you needing to reveal it to SPAMMERS who might be harvesting the JNode website.
P.S. If you want me to erase the email address in your original posting ... let me know.
